Cardinal Football: Meet Coach Jamie Carter

Cardinal Football: Meet Coach Carter:
Coach Jamie Carter brings more than 17 years of coaching experience and a championship pedigree to Camden Fairview. Most recently serving as Associate Head Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator at Marion High School, Carter previously led Osceola High School as Head Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director from 2020–2024.
During his tenure at Osceola, Coach Carter guided the program to a conference championship appearance in his first season, captured the 2022 3A-3 Conference Championship, advanced to the state quarterfinals, and was named 3A-3 Coach of the Year. Through strong leadership, discipline, and program organization, Coach Carter has successfully managed football operations for grades 7–12 while mentoring student-athletes on and off the field.
A former University of Alabama defensive lineman, Carter was part of the 1999 SEC Championship team and went on to play professionally in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. His experience at the highest levels of competition, combined with his commitment to developing young men of character, positions him well to lead Cardinal Football into its next chapter.
Coach Carter will begin building relationships immediately, meeting with varsity and junior high football players and coaches on Monday and Tuesday. He will also host a Football Families Meet & Greet on Monday, February 23, at 6:00 PM in the CFHS Library, providing an opportunity for families to hear his vision for the program and connect as the Cardinal Football community moves forward together.
