Important reminders for all CFSD events

All students are expected to be on their best behavior and follow all school policies, including the dress code, while attending school events. Students will be banned from after school activities if they are involved in any fights, disrespectful towards administration or any school personnel, or if any prohibited items are found on them or in their vehicles during an event.

6-12 grade students will have 20 minutes after school activities end to leave campus. Students should notify parents ahead of time to let them know what time the activity will end. Announcements are made prior to the activity ending to remind students to contact parents.

We appreciate your support and look forward to cheering on all Cardinal student-athletes together!

At Camden Fairview, we believe that #AttendanceMatters and that absences are lost opportunities to learn in the classroom. Let's start the year off right - at school every day possible! Some absences are unavoidable, but it’s important that students are at school from bell-to-bell as often as possible.

Regular attendance is often an indicator of higher academic performance. Students who are at #SchoolEveryDay also do better academically in middle school and are more likely to graduate high school.

Reminders

K-5 Family Night is Tuesday, October 8!

K-5 families, join us for Family Night at Ivory Intermediate this Tuesday from 5PM-7PM. Ivory Intermediate has planned a night of learning and fun for all students!

This Wednesday, October 9, is regular dismissal.

During the 2024-2025 school year, only the first and third Wednesdays of each month will be 1-Hour Early Out Wednesdays. Next week, we will have a 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday on October 16 and a 2-Hour Early Dismissal for Homecoming on Friday, October 18.

CFHS Parking Permit Reminder

CFHS students, if you drive to school, please remember to register your vehicle in the principal’s office and get your parking permit ASAP. Your parking permit must be displayed on your rearview mirror. Vehicles without parking permits will receive a fine beginning this week.

It's National Fire Prevention Week!

This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™” strives to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in their home. Learn more at https://www.nfpa.org/events/fire-prevention-week.

Install

Install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area (like a hallway), and on each level (including the basement) of the home.

Test

Test smoke alarms at least once a month by pushing the test button.

Replace

Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10 years old or stop responding when tested.

CFHS Students Help Clean-Up Camden.

Thank you to these amazing CFHS students who volunteered their time and energy to the Clean Up Camden event last Saturday! For the second year in a row, CFHS students had the largest group of volunteers and cleaned up the most, returning more than 60 bags of trash that was picked up along 10-15 miles of Camden’s roads. We’re love to see CFHS students serving our community!

Camden Fairview Homecoming Parade Information

Camden Fairview High School is celebrating the Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 3PM in Downtown Camden! Registration forms can be picked up at Camden Fairview High School or are available online here. All registration forms must be submitted by Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with a fee of $10.00 per car/truck and $5.00 per motorcycle/ATV. This year's theme is "Who brings the Cardinal Spirit?"

Families, remember you can monitor your child's grades and attendance using HAC.

Flu Clinic forms are due tomorrow, September 26. The CFMS Flu Clinic will be on Tuesday, October 1. Students must have the FERPA form and the Immunization Consent Form completed and turned in by Thursday, September 26. Please include your Insurance information on the consent form for the Health Department.

National Gear-Up Week

Help us celebrate National GEAR UP Week this week at CFMS!

CFMS is proud to be a Gear Up Arkansas: College Ready Navigator school! The GEAR UP Arkansas College Ready Navigator (GUAR-CRN) project, facilitated by the University of Central Arkansas, improves academic opportunities, access, and outcomes for Arkansas students. The seven-year project is a cohort model that begins with sixth and seventh grades at 15 middle schools and will provide services to the 6th-grade cohort of students through 12th grade and the 7th-grade cohort through their freshman year of college.

Monday: School Spirit Day. Wear your school swag colors!

Tuesday: GEAR UP for your future. Wear your Gear-Up shirt.

Camden Fairview Homecoming Parade Information

Camden Fairview High School is celebrating the Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 3PM in Downtown Camden! Registration forms can be picked up at Camden Fairview High School or are available online here. All registration forms must be submitted by Wednesday, October 16, 2024, with a fee of $10.00 per car/truck and $5.00 per motorcycle/ATV. This year's theme is "Who brings the Cardinal Spirit?"
