The make-up day for free Cardinal Athletics physicals is May 29 at CFHS Gym, beginning at 3PM until finished. Families should be prepared to pick up their student after the physical Please send the completed AAA Physical Form with your student to their physical. Copies are also available from coaches and on the Cardinal Athletics webpage. You may also schedule an appointment with your family doctor for a wellness check and have them complete the form.

• Prom tickets are on sale now through Friday, May 3. See Mrs. Merriott before school, between classes, or after school to purchase your ticket. Tickets are $25 each.

• After Prom tickets are on sale during all lunches now through Friday, May 3. Tickets are $5 each. Students must purchase prom tickets before purchasing After Prom tickets.

• The last 2024 After Prom Committee meeting will be on Tuesday, April 30, at 6PM in the Commons. All senior and junior parents are invited to attend.

#CardinalPride - To better recognize the CFHS student-athletes who participate in varsity sports, Cardinal Athletics hosted a Fall Varsity Sports Banquet in January and will host the Spring Varsity Sports Banquet on Monday, May 13, at 6PM.

Varsity student-athletes and their families are invited to join us at the Camden Fairview Spring Sports Banquet! The Spring Varsity Sports Banquet will honor varsity student-athletes who participated this school year in varsity softball, baseball, basketball, dance, cheer, track, gymnastics, and swim.

Camden Fairview families, please carefully read the following information on the Arkansas Department of Human Services' (DHS) Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer's eligibility requirements and application process. 

What is Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT)? The S-EBT provides funds for meals to students during the summer when school is not in session. Eligible students will automatically receive $40 a month for three months ($120 total) on an EBT card.

Who's eligible? 

• Students who are eligible for SNAP or TEA benefits. 

• For students who are not eligible for SNAP or TEA benefits, their parents/guardians must complete an application. Approval will be based on household income. This includes students attending a Provision 2 school, which applies to all Camden Fairview schools. The household income guidelines for eligibility are the same as those for free and reduced priced meals.

• We're excited to hold our Testing Celebration today to celebrate students trying their best on standardized testing! Thank you to our volunteers! All volunteers should check-in at the CFMS Front Office by 12:45 today. The celebration will take place from 1PM-3PM and will feature these fun activities:

  • Tie Dye Shirts (Students must provide their own shirt)

  • Face Painting

  • Color Run (wear clothes that you are comfortable getting stained; the powder packs are washable)

  • Sack Races

  • Spoon Races

  • Tug of War

  • Obstacle Course 

  • Basketball

• CFMS FBLA students: please stop by Ms. Candley's room today (Monday, April 22) for the field trip permission slip. Members who do not return the form by tomorrow (Tuesday, April 23) will be unable to attend the trip this Thursday (April 25).

Fairview Elementary's Picnic with Parents is Thursday, April 25. FES families are invited to come make memories you and your child will cherish at our family picnic lunch on April 25! Feel free to bring a blanket or quilt. Kindergarten lunch is 10:30-11:00; first grade is 11:05-11:35; second grade is 11:40-12:10; and third grade is 12:15-12:45. A special photo with your child are available for $5. We can't wait to see everyone!

Athenia Dodds Named CFMS Dean of Students We’re proud to announce that Athenia Dodds has accepted the CFMS Dean of Students role for the 2024-2025 school year! Mrs. Dodds has been a vital part of the CFIS and Ivory Intermediate team for the last ten years. She is dedicated to helping students and educators succeed and truly believes that together we can achieve anything. Mrs. Dodds currently serves as the Ivory Intermediate Dean of Students. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Dodds on her new role at Camden Fairview! Chris Coker Named CFSD Science Specialist We’re proud to announce that Chris Coker has accepted the role of District Science Specialist for the 2024-2025 school year! In this role, Coach Coker will assist teachers as they develop and deliver hands-on lessons that deepen students’ understanding of scientific principles. We are excited that Coach Coker will offer this additional level of support to our educators and students, and we can’t wait to watch Coach Coker in action! Debbie Snelgrove Named District GT Coordinator We are excited to announce that Debbie Snelgrove has been hired as the Camden Fairview Gifted and Talented Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year! Mrs. Snelgrove will be following in the footsteps of Mrs. Phyllis Burger, who is retiring after 19 years of service to the students and families of Camden Fairview. We’re grateful for Mrs. Burger’s commitment to providing enriching and challenging learning experiences for her students, and we’re excited to welcome Mrs. Snelgrove back to Camden Fairview in this important role! Ms. Snelgrove has been an educator for nine years. She is currently a classroom teacher at Hampton Elementary, and she previously worked as a fourth and fifth-grade teacher at Camden Fairview Intermediate School. Andrea Martin Named CFMS Literacy Facilitator We’re proud to announce that Andrea Martin will be the CFMS Literacy Facilitator beginning in the 2024-2025 school year! Mrs. Martin has been an educator for 29 years, with 24 years of experience as an English Language Arts teacher. She’s spent the last three years as a K-12 Literacy Specialist and Coach.  Mrs. Martin loves creating hands-on activities to help solidify student learning and facilitate application of that learning. “I'm a product of Camden public schools and truly excited to be home and in a position to serve my community!” said Mrs. Martin.
