Dear CFMS Students and Families:
Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Camden Fairview Middle School! We are thrilled to welcome our returning students and extend a special greeting to those who are new to our school community. I am honored to serve as your principal, and I look forward to an inspiring and successful year ahead.
This year, we will continue to embrace several powerful programs and initiatives designed to build strong relationships, promote academic success, and support the whole child.
We are mastering the Ron Clark House System, a dynamic model that fosters a sense of community, school spirit, and leadership. Students will be placed into one of four houses and will participate in challenges, team-building activities, and celebrations throughout the year. The House System is more than just fun – it teaches character, encourages positive behavior, and helps students feel connected.
In addition, our school will continue implementing Capturing Kids’ Hearts, a nationally recognized program that emphasizes building meaningful relationships, developing trust, and creating a safe and respectful learning environment. Through this approach, our staff is committed to engaging students with empathy and encouragement, ensuring every student feels seen, heard, and valued.
We are also excited to partner with Gear Up Arkansas, which supports 8th grade students and families with college and career readiness tools, resources, and opportunities. With Gear Up, our goal is to prepare every student not only for success in high school but also for life beyond.
A major focus this year will be on academic interventions and enrichment through our “Level Up” time. This dedicated period will provide personalized support based on students' individual needs – whether they need extra help, accelerated learning, or time to deepen their understanding of core concepts.
We understand that middle school is a time of great growth and change. As such, we are committed to supporting student behavior in a proactive and positive way, reinforcing expectations, teaching social-emotional skills, and maintaining a structured and caring environment.
Together, with your support, we believe this will be a transformative year for our students. We encourage families to stay engaged, communicate often, and partner with us in making this a truly remarkable journey.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Let’s make it a year to remember!
With great enthusiasm,
Ka'Misha Davis
