Happy National School Counseling Week!

This year’s theme, School Counselors Amplify Student Success, celebrates the powerful impact our counselors have in supporting academic growth, social-emotional well-being, and future planning for all students.

A special thank you to our school counselors for their dedication and service: Shelia Griffith and Quintin Radford.

Please use the link below to share a special thank you message with your school counselor:
Thank you, School Counselors!

One Good Thing:

Our Cardinals are showing leadership, service, and heart through two student-led initiatives on campus.

The Amistad House is hosting a Pencil Drive from February 2–27, collecting new #2 pencils, mechanical pencils, and pencil packs to help ensure every student is ready to learn. Donations may be dropped off in the main office, Ms. Coleman’s Room 140, or the cafeteria collection box. The house member who donates the most pencils will earn a prize—an awesome way to show Amistad pride while giving back!

Meanwhile, the Isibindi House is spreading the love this Valentine’s season by collecting handmade or store-bought Valentine cards for local nursing home residents. Cards are due February 6 and may be turned in to the Valentine collection boxes in the cafeteria.

From supporting classmates to serving our community, this is what leadership and kindness look like at CFMS.

CFMS Families, We'd Love Your Input!

We’re exploring the possibility of hosting an after-hours braiding class at CFMS, led by a young entrepreneur. Braids by Kylee would be a fun, hands-on opportunity for students to learn basic braiding techniques while building creativity and confidence.

Before we move forward, we want to hear from you: Is this something your student would be interested?

Please take a moment to let us know by commenting on this post or completing the quick form linked above this post. Your feedback helps us decide whether to move forward.

Thank you for partnering with us to bring meaningful opportunities to our students.
