This Week at CFMS:

This week is a 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday!
On Wednesday, all Camden Fairview schools will dismiss one hour early to allow teachers additional time for professional development and collaboration.

Important Dates:
  • March 10: 9-Weeks Testing Odd Periods
  • March 11: 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday
  • March 12: 9-Weeks Testing Even Periods

  • March 23-27: Spring Break
 

One Good Thing:

Cardinal Soars at State Spelling Bee!

We’re celebrating CFMS 6th grader Sloane Edwards, the Ouachita County Spelling Bee Champion, who represented Camden Fairview at the Arkansas Spelling Bee on Saturday. Competing against 58 of the top spellers in the state, Sloane advanced to the Top 15 and reached Round 5 of the competition. We’re so proud of the dedication and courage she showed representing Camden Fairview and Ouachita County!
 

Announcements:

This week is a 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday! On Wednesday, all Camden Fairview schools will dismiss one hour early to allow teachers additional time for professional development and collaboration.

CFMS 9-Weeks Tests are this week! On Tuesday, we will test in odd periods. On Thursday, we will test in even periods. All make-up tests will be taken on Friday.

CFHS Diamond Dancer sign up sheets are available for 8th graders. Please sign up in the front office during lunch.

6th-8th Grade CFMS girls and families: join us for the first-ever CFMS Softball Parent Meeting on Thursday, March 12 at 5:30 PM in the CFMS cafeteria. Like the CFMS Baseball program, CFMS Softball is being built from the ground up with the help of dedicated volunteer coaches, supportive families, and our 6th-8th grade student-athletes. To kick things off, volunteer coach and CFMS parent Rodney Frazier (whom many of you may also know as an assistant principal at CFHS) will host a parent meeting on Thursday. We look forward to seeing you there!

Score & Soar Day is Friday, March 20, for students scoring a Level 3 or Level 4 on ATLAS Interims. 

The Junior High Cheer sign up sheet will be in the cafeteria during 7th and 8th grade lunches starting March 9. 

There will be step practice Monday and Thursday. 

The CFMS Talent Show is set for March 13 from 5:30-6:30 in the CFMS Auditorium. We are so proud of every student who will perform and everyone who tried out!

The IXL leaderboard challenge is happening now through March 16. The top 15 students will earn a trip to the bowling alley with a free snack pack courtesy of the CFMS Admin Team!

Yearbook order forms are available in the front office.

Amistad House is currently in the lead for 2,409 points! Wear your house colors on Wednesdays.

March Madness Dodgeball Tournament, House Edition will continue on March 13 and March 18 with action-packed games. Entry is $2 per game, you must wear your house colors to attend and play, and the winning house will earn points and face off against the staff!

26-27 Jr. High Cheer Tryout Info:

Hello Cheer Prospects and Families! We are excited to announce important information regarding Cheer Clinics Week and Cheer Tryouts. All students interested in trying out for the Jr. High cheer team must attend clinics and follow the expectations outlined below.

Mandatory parent meeting will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Camden Fairview Middle School starting at 4pm. 

Cheer Clinics will take place March 16–20. Attendance is REQUIRED, and prospects may not miss any day of clinics. Clinics are essential for learning required material and preparing for tryouts.

Clinic Schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday (March 16–20): After school until 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday (March 20): Extended clinic session, as we will conduct mock tryouts

During clinics, students will learn:
  • One cheer
  • One dance

Please note that each prospect is also responsible for creating:
  • An original cheer
  • A spirit run

Cheer Tryouts will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 9:00 a.m. (Middle School gym)

Tryout Attire (Required):
  • White T-shirt (tucked in)
  • Red shorts
  • Red bow worn in a ponytail

Clinics and tryouts are designed to help students feel prepared and confident. Because of the importance of this preparation, attendance for all clinic days is mandatory.

  • Admission is $6 for all home athletic events.

  • Athletic Passes are available for sale at Central Office (625 Clifton Street). All CFSD employees have free entry with their district ID badge.
