Important Dates:

  • May 28: 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony (8:30 AM) & 6th/7th Grade Awards Assembly (1:00 PM)

Announcements:

8th Grade GEAR UP College Visit to UCA – May 12

Eighth graders will participate in a GEAR UP college visit to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) on May 12. This trip is designed to give students exposure to a college campus and help them begin thinking about future educational opportunities.

Trip Details:
  • Date: May 12
  • Departure Time: 7:50 AM
  • Return Time: Approximately 3:00 PM
  • Location: University of Central Arkansas (UCA)
  • Cost: No cost to students

Important Reminders:
  • The bus will begin loading at 7:50 AM and leave CFMS promptly at 8:00 AM. 8th grade students who eat breakfast at school should arrive by 7:30 AM, and all 8th graders should be at school by 7:45 AM.
  • Students must follow all school rules and expectations during the trip.
  • Students assigned to ISS or OSS on the day of the trip will not be allowed to attend.

Please remember that all participants must have a current physical and health history form completed to participate. The grades listed below are for the 26-27 school year (e.g., 9th grade tryouts are for current 8th graders).

  • May 11: 7th Grade Girls Basketball (4:00–5:00 PM, Middle School Gym)

  • May 11: 8th & 9th Grade Girls Basketball (5:15–6:30 PM, Middle School Gym)

  • May 12: Varsity Girls Basketball (4:00–6:00 PM, CFHS Multi)

  • May 12: 7th Grade Boys Basketball (4:00–5:30 PM, Middle School Gym)

  • May 19: 8th Grade Boys Basketball (4:00–5:15 PM, Middle School Gym)

  • May 19: 9th Grade Boys Basketball (5:30–6:45 PM, Middle School Gym)

  • May 21: (Current 8th Graders Only) Varsity Tennis (4:00-5:00 PM, CFMS Tennis Courts)
