CFMS Weekly Announcements: April 21 - 27

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS | APRIL 21 - 27

• We're excited to hold our Testing Celebration today to celebrate students trying their best on standardized testing! Thank you to our volunteers! All volunteers should check-in at the CFMS Front Office by 12:45 today. The celebration will take place from 1PM-3PM and will feature these fun activities:

  • Tie Dye Shirts (Students must provide their own shirt)

  • Face Painting

  • Color Run (wear clothes that you are comfortable getting stained; the powder packs are washable)

  • Sack Races

  • Spoon Races

  • Tug of War

  • Obstacle Course 

  • Basketball

• CFMS FBLA students: please stop by Ms. Candley's room today (Monday, April 22) for the field trip permission slip. Members who do not return the form by tomorrow (Tuesday, April 23) will be unable to attend the trip this Thursday (April 25).

• We have several fun activities coming up! 
  • On April 30, we will have hat day ($2)
  • On May 1, we will have PJ day ($5)
  • On May 3, we will have Talent show ($3)
  • Money will be taken up at lunch. Students must pay to participate.

• All current CFMS students who are interested in playing sports next school year will need a current athletic physical before tryouts or practice. Cardinal Athletics and The Lewis Clinic are hosting free athletic physicals on April 24, beginning 7th period until finished. Families should be prepared to pick up their student after school; we can't guarantee that students will be finished in time to ride buses or be in the car line for regular dismissal. Please send the completed AAA Physical Form with your student to their physical. Copies are also available from coaches and on the Cardinal Athletics webpage.

• 2024-2025 Lady Cardinal Volleyball. Mark your calendars for 2024-25 volleyball tryouts!

  • Tuesday, April 30 | 4:00 - 5:00 | 7th Grade (24-25)
    

  • Thursday, May 2 | 4:00 - 5:00 | 8th grade (24-25)
    

  • Wednesday, May 1 | 5:00 - 6:00 | 9th grade (24-25)

  • All tryouts will be held at the CFHS Gym. Participants must have an up--to-date physical and wear athletic attire (athletic/tennis shoes). If students are not dressed appropriately or if they don't have a physical, they will not be allowed to tryout. 

• Mark your calendars! The CFMS Choir will host its Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 14, at 6:30PM in the CFMS Cafeteria.

• CFHS Diamond Dancers Tryouts: This year's 8th graders are eligible to tryout for next year's dance team. Dance tryout practice is April 22-26 from 3:45-5PM in the CFHS Multipurpose Building. Dance tryouts are April 27th. 

• 8th Grade Career Development students will experience a little bit of the real world during the "Get Real - What's the Deal?" simulation on May 10! Please contact Mrs. Edwards at ledwards@cfsd.k12.ar.us if you're interested in volunteering at this event.
